Government Affairs and Communications - Mr. Vander Stoep specializes in helping clients with their strategic, government affairs, and communications goals. He has worked with dozens of public agencies, public figures, and businesses as a communications consultant and strategist. Clients have included Microsoft, the Russell Company and Trident Seafoods.

Mr. Vander Stoep has over three decades of experience in politics, public policy, and communications. At age twenty-one he managed a successful legislative campaign. At twenty-three he won election to the Washington State House of Representatives where he served for six years. As an elected official, he developed an understanding of the issues important to the Pacific Northwest as well as the fundamentals of policy-making and public communications.

J. is a founding partner of Washington2 Advocates and Sound Counsel Crisis Communications. These organizations are devoted to helping clients with communication and governmental affairs issues. J. is intimately involved with helping clients prepare for and respond to events requiring a crisis communications response.

Real Property - Mr. Vander Stoep’s traditional legal work primarily involves matters related to real property. He has successfully litigated many boundary and timber trespass matters and also assists clients with local governmental zoning and land use related issues. Personal:
